Wet Cast Process

The wet cast process is more mould intensive than the semi dry process because it is only possible to achieve one casting per mould per day. The mix has to be left to cure in the mould for 24 hours prior to demoulding. Once demoulded, the unit is then surface treated for either a smooth or exposed aggregate finish.

The inherent strength of wet cast stone makes it ideally suited for structural applications such as balustrades and balconies. At the opposite end of the scale are also much smaller items such as reinforced lintels and cills together with purely decorative items such as wall copings and pillar caps.
