Lagan Leisureplex, Lisburn

The new Leisure and Swimming Pool Complex for Lisburn Borough Council was designed by local architects Knox & Clayton who chose a combination of York stone and Red sandstone for the building. The most outstanding feature of the building is the rotunda colonnade at the main entrance.

Craftstone reconstituted York stone was used for cappings and reconstituted Red sandstone was used extensively for cladding panels, coping and soffit stones to the rotunda.

The finished building is a major landmark in the area with the entrance rotunda colonnade its most prominent feature.
