Extension to Foyleside Shopping Centre

This project involved a large extension to an existing shopping centre, primarily to accommodate a flagship store for Debenhams.
The original shopping centre has semi-dry reconstituted stone features but project architects Hughes McMichael specified wet-cast for the extension because of its strength and durability.

After submission of samples by a number of companies, the architects chose Craftstone’s buff colour with a smooth finish.

The front façade of the building has a number of large cast stone columns with display windows in between whilst all other elevations have a combination of reconstituted stone blockwork and brick with some cast stone feature panels running from ground floor almost to the top of the building. Another fast track project with in excess of 7000 stones supplied over a period of four months.
